What’s the difference between Pancetta Bacon and Streaky?
Standard bacon can be smoked, or unsmoked and is raw – meaning it must be cooked prior to eating, it is not normally rolled.
On the other hand, only Pancetta Affumicata is smoked. Our all-natural Pancetta also has a significantly longer cure and maturing period than normal bacon, this helps to give a greater depth of flavour to just bacon.
Due to its extended drying, it’s ready to eat and maybe eaten raw, or cooked. The extra flavour means it’s also perfect for flavouring other dishes like; Spaghetti Carbonara if you can’t get hold of traditional Guanciale. To cube for lardons, let us know and we’ll slice it real thick!
